Knife

Today I am grateful for and appreciate the significance of this great tool called a Knife. The knife is a part of everyday household and serves various purposes. The knife appears in a variety of configurations, dimensions and shades. It could be found and used regardless of age, gender and socioeconomic status. The knife is a blessing and an important tool that serves humanity and its usage is dependent on the purpose. I recognize and comprehend its value for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • The main purpose of the knife is to cut, chop, slice, dice and peel fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, fish, shrimp, bread, cardboard, paper and even a rope. There are a variety of knives and every knife serves a distinct purpose, for instance:
    • A butter knife is used to slice or cut and spread the butter on any surface, for instance, bread, scones, bagel, paratha, chapati and pitta bread
    • The surgical knife is managed and utilized by surgeons for operations and serve the purpose very well
    • Butcherknife is handled and used by butchers for slicing, cutting, chopping and  carving meat
    • A carving knife is utilized to carve fruits and vegetables
    • A chef knife is also called a cook's knife. It serves a variety of purposes and usages
    • The boning knife is used to detach bone from the meat, such as meat, chicken, fish and mutton
    • A steak knife is also called a table knife. It is used and managed for chicken, fish and meat
    • A Fillet knife is utilized to make fillets of meat, chicken and fish
  • Historically, whenever people travel long distances, they keep a knife for their safety. Even I witnessed in Ertughural drama that knife is used for safety and security purposes
  • The shopkeeper uses a knife for opening up a carton or package. Be mindful of its usage and keep it away from the reach of the children for safety reasons is the thought of the day
