Shawarma

Today I am grateful for this incredible wrap called "Shawarma". This is the middle eastern version of the wrap. Shawarma is popular around the globe with varied tastes and flavours. I recognize and appreciate its significance for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • Shawarma is made with varied processes or having varied layers of flavours. The most significant piece is the meat and its preparation. Shawarma is prepared with specific pieces, marinated and cooked on a specific grill called shawarma grill. The specific aroma, flavour and colour of shwarma meat is due to the grill
  • Shawarma has many versions, for instance, chicken, meat, mutton, fish, prawn, falafel and vegetarian. The distinct flavour of shawarma from any other wrap is from two sauces that's tahini and humus
  • Shawarma is prepared with flat shawarma flatbread, with added sauces, salad, vegetables of your choice and with added a big portion of meat/chicken/mutton/fish/prawn/falafel or vegetables and finally wrap and served
  • Shawarma is popular and consumed regardless of age and socioeconomic status. It is found in east, west, north and south with varied flavours and names, for instance, wrap, dosa, roll and cone filled with sauce, vege and meat
  • Shawarma has a strong punch and kick of a flavour to the palate and deeply satisfying every single taste buds
  • While having shawarma, affects feelings, emotions and thoughts. I discovered and noticed positive emotions, for instance, pleasure, joy and satisfaction attached while eating shawarma. Explore what kind of emotions and feelings you experience while consuming shawarma?
  • Shawarma is a go n grab food, fresh and healthy as it is loaded with protein and vegetables. It is a sort of full nutritious meal
  • Shawarma is served on birthdays, potlucks, personal gatherings, dinners, lunches and perfect timings whenever you feel like eating it
  • Personally, I do prepare shawarma at home, with trials and errors I learned and discovered the fine tone of the spices and sauces. Homemade shawarma is healthy, fresh, nutritious, organic, tasty, full of flavours and zest to the palate
  • This is my journey with the shawarma, what is yours? is the thought of the day
