Today I am grateful for dates and their significance and benefits to our health. There are varieties of dates available around the globe. It has a sweet taste and called Khajoor in the Urdu language. I recognize and appreciate the value of dates for a variety of reasons, for instance:
- Dates are loaded and packed with nutrients, minerals and fibre. It has a variety of health benefits
- It has natural sweet or sweetener. Dried dates are called Choware and it is used with milk, shakes and sheer khurma
- Dates are really good for health, for instance, heart, stomach, intestine, blood, skin and affect vision too
- It helps to promote strengths, vitality, energy and stamina. It supplies instant energy and regulates blood pressure
- It improves metabolism and digestion. It is packed with potassium
- Variety of rituals attached with dates, for instance, Muslims break their fast with dates, after Nikah dries dates distribute among barati and in Ramadan people distribute dates to other Muslims
- The most valuable and beneficial date is Ajwa, being Muslims we heard and learned its significance and benefits
- Nowadays, date milkshake, date cake, ice cream and date halwa in demand
- This is my journey with dates, what is yours? is the question of the day
