Today I am grateful and acknowledge the importance of green chillies in our cuisine. Green chillies are part of the day-to-day dishes in a variety of regions in the world. Green chillies have a very distinct flavour and zest and it varies from recipe to recipe and person to person. Its significance is inevitable. Green chillies are available in the form of frozen, dried and fresh. I appreciate green chillies for various reasons, for instance:

  • Green chillies are packed and loaded with vitamin C, green colour and fibre 
  • It holds a very distinct flavour, is pungent, aromatic and pleases your taste buds
  • Green chillies compliments a variety of recipes, especially this kind of chillies
  • Biryani, pulao, green tikka, vegetables and vege pakoras do not reach their peak flavour without green chillies
  • Green chillies extraordinarily add value to the omelette and eaten with paratha
  • In many regions, it is the part of sideways and eaten raw with every single bite, even people do not beget their meals without it
  • Traditional pickles and  vinegar pickles of green chillies are eaten with the main course, more specifically, rice and lentils
  • Green chillies proffer a soothing and calming impression on nausea, vomiting and costiveness
  • There are several jokes around green chillies in the literature
  • Sometimes people earn a title of green chilli by their utterance or statement, people symbolizes certain acts or behaviour with the chillies
