Compassion Fatigue

Today I am grateful for facilitating a session at Malton Women Council's peer ambassador meeting. The session was titled "Compassion Fatigue". Malton Women Council is a nonprofit organization and I joined MWC as a Resiliency Community Peer Ambassador. I recognize and comprehend today's session for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • Today's session was virtual, genuinely easy to attend. There was no need to travel, drive or take TTC and no formal dressing was required. You are merely required to check internet connectivity for the flow of the session
  • Uzma Aziz Irfan was coordinating and hosting the session. She provides supervision whenever needed. Uzma Aziz had been admitting attendees, reading chat or questions. She was directing and coordinating very well between facilitator and attendees

  • Today's session was a highly interactive, safe and secure platform to land your thoughts, feelings and emotions.  Attendees were engaged listening, asking questions, comments, sharing thoughts and ideas

  • Today's notion and philosophy about Compassion Fatigue is:
    • What is compassion?
    • What is compassion fatigue?
    • Symptoms and mechanism of compassion fatigue
    • Impact of compassion fatigue on mind, body, spirit and emotions
    • Strategies and approaches to manage compassion fatigue
  • This is my incredible journey with Malton Women Council as a facilitator. Find sessions, webinars, training or lectures that soothes your personal, social and professional needs is the thought of the day
