Today I am grateful for attending a two-hour webinar titled "Navigating a life in recovery" offered by Edgewood Health Network (EHN) Canada. Today's webinar had two segments, the first hour facilitated by Colette Currin (counsellor and national director of business development for military, veterans and first responders, EHN Canada) and the second hour facilitated by EHN Canada Alumni Panel. I appreciate and recognize today's webinar significance for a variety of reasons, for instance:
- EHN Canada truly spreading mental health awareness and wellbeing in the community at this time of the COVID 19. I am hooked with these webinars due to the ongoing learning and upgrading myself in the field of addiction and mental health. These webinars heighten my understanding and further clarity to my perspectives and learned theories
- These webinars are highly convenient to join as it was offered via zoom platform. No need to drive or take TTC, no need to formally dress up, just require to have an internet connection for the flow of the session
- The first session was about setting up healthy boundaries and building supportive relationships in recovery. The session was highly insightful and left the impression of the significance of the healthy and positive boundaries setting
- The second session was facilitated by the EHN Canada alumni panel. Their journey of recovery was really inspiring and thoughtful. Their stories were encouraging and promote awareness and insight to the attendees
