Gol Guppe

Today I am grateful for and appreciate the importance of signature snacks or food called "Gol Guppe or pani pori". Gol Guppe is an all-time favourite food for a variety of people more precisely in Pak - Indo culture. It is very well popular regardless of age, gender and socioeconomic status. I recognize and comprehend its significance for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • The dough of Gol Guppe is prepared with suji, maida and salt. It is made round in shape and deep-fried in oil. Gol Guppe is eaten with a variety of staple sauces and stuffing such as savoury water (khatta pani), sweet tamarind sauce, raita, salad, chickpeas and potatoes
  • Gol Guppe is consumed or attacked in a specific way, for instance, just make a hole on top of the Gol Guppa then fill with chickpeas/potato, tamarind sauce, salad and raita with added chat masala. Hold with fingers and dip gol guppa in savoury water. Keep that guppa in your mouth and then compress it till it's broken. You may have a variety of flavours and kicks to the palate such as sweet, savoury, salty, crunchy, soft and spicy
  • As I mentioned earlier, it is famous regardless of gender, age and socioeconomic status. There is no specific time for gol guppe, it is an all-time favourite. No one says NO to this signature food even after having a meal, you may eat a few gol guppe
  • Gol guppe is linked with pleasure, joy, happiness and delightedness. People do love its mouth-watering taste and aroma. Gol guppe is appetizing and benefits digestion especially its savoury water
  • Personally, I do prepare gol guppe at home even guppe. My children help me while frying and then setting up a table for proper presentation. After preparation, it is really hard or impossible to wait. We just attack and take turns to fill the guppa. Preparing gol guppe at home is a highly engaging activity with children
