August - 2021


Today I am grateful for and appreciate the significance of the month of August. Today is the first day of August 2021 and today friendship day is being celebrated around the world (first Sunday of August). If you are breathing well and alive in the month of August 2021, be thankful and grateful for that. August has its own significance and value for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • The first week of August is being celebrated as a world breastfeeding week for creating awareness and the importance of breastfeeding in the life of a newborn
  • August 6 is being observed as a Hiroshima day and this day an atomic bomb was dropped at the city of the Hiroshima of Japan
  • August 9 is the Nagasaki day for the Japanese as the second atomic bomb was dropped at the city of Nagasaki of Japan. This day is also celebrated as an International Day of the indigenous people and their rights
  • August 13 is celebrated around the world as a world organ donation day for creating the awareness and significance of donating an organ
  • Pakistan independence day is celebrated and honoured on August 14. Pakistan evolved in the world on August 14, 1947. It is also called Youm-E-Azadi
  • The independence of India is celebrated and observed on August 15 every year. India emerged in the world on August 15, 1947
  • August 17 is being celebrated and honoured as the independence of Indonesia
  • World humanitarian day is celebrated and admired on August 19 around the world for the dedication and untiring work of the aid worker. This day their efforts are recognized and appreciated
  • Rakhsha Bandhan or rakhi festival is being celebrated and honoured on August 22. This is the day to recognize the eternal and enduring connection or bond between brother and sister
  • August 31 is celebrated and honoured as a Hari Merdeka day in Malaysia. This is Malaysian national day
