Fundamental Steps to Become an Entrepreneur

Today I am grateful for attending and blessed with another session offered by the Malton Women Council (MWC) and part of my innovative journey as a Resiliency Community Peer Ambassador project. The training titled "Foundational steps to become an entrepreneur" was hosted by Uzma Irfan and facilitated by Faria Jafri. I appreciate and recognize its significance for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • Today's training was over the zoom, highly convenient and comfortable to join. No need to drive or take TTC, no need to formally dress up, just require to monitor wifi connection for the flow of the session. Since the pandemic, virtual mode of the training is the safest way to earn credit hours while maintaining social distancing
  • Uzma Irfan is an executive director of Malton Women Council (MWC), hosted and coordinated this session very well. The strategies were executed by Uzma, for instance, asking questions, clarifications, reading chat messages, coordinating and managing peer ambassador
  • Faria Jafri is a mompreneur, project management professional and sales funnel enthusiast. Faria Jafari facilitated and presented fundamental steps to become an entrepreneur excellently. Faria manifested and revealed a variety of research tools, examples, explaining the gist of entrepreneurship, answering every single question and coordinating very well. Faria Jafari was the best instructor and coach for today's training
  • This training has been adding layers of knowledge, awareness and expanding the horizon of experience and further advancement to my professional journey
  • This training was free of cost and great support to the resiliency community peer ambassadors at this time of the COVID 19. It was magnificent financial support. I had to pay a huge amount if I would have enrolled in any other institution or organization
  • The taken wisdom and insight from the training are:
    • Service-based or product based
    • Identify a problem means idea should be solving a problem
    • Find your market/niche (Research)
    • Build a client profile
    • Research competition
    • Develop an offer
    • Create a business plan
    • Sell before you're ready
    • Examples: Service-based/Product based
  • This is my incredible journey with the Malton Women Council (MWC) and that helps to harvest new knowledge and learning. I am blessed to be a part of MWC in the capacity of the Resiliency Community Peer Ambassador project
