Thinking patterns-Facebook live session

Today I am grateful for facilitating a session, live on Facebook, titled "Thinking pattern and its impact on emotional, personal, social and professional life" at Malton Bazm-E-Khawateen platform. This session hosted by Gulnaz Rehan and coordinated by Aasia Khatoon. Today's session was deeply informative as it taps the subject of thinking patterns and their connection with the variety of crystals of life. I appreciate and recognize the significance of thinking patterns for a variety of reasons. The session commenced with the following trims:

  • What is thinking and the difference between thinking, cognition and rational thinking
  • Thoughts per second, hour and a day
  • How thinking patterns develop and affect our life in distinct ways, for instance:
    • Relationship with caregivers or parents
    • Nature vs nurture
    • Interaction with the environment
    • Impact of cartoons, films, movies, video games and games
    • Role of teachers
    • Physical condition, hormonal and neurological changes
    • Sometimes BP, diabetes, terminal illness or pandemic
    • Life experiences, divorce, separation, death of loved one, war, attacks, got cheated
    • Migration also has a profound impact on thinking
  • Thinking patterns:
  1. Filtering: Focusing on the negative and ignoring all the positive
The session ended on the above-mentioned thinking pattern, the topic will continue to the next week
