Gratitude Practice - Part two
Today I am grateful for and appreciate the significance of today's session for promoting wellbeing and positivity in one's life at this time of the COVID 19 pandemic. I acknowledge and recognize the value to Malton - Bazm-e-Khawateen for providing this platform. This session was hosted and coordinated by Gulnaz Rehan and facilitated by Arshi Ali (registered psychotherapist, qualifying). Today's session was the sequel of the last session. I realize the importance of today's session for many reasons, for instance:
- At this time of the COVID 19 pandemic, while social distancing is being practiced for controlling the spread of the novel coronavirus. Gratitude practise helps to rewire and retune brain chemicals and vibes to promote wellness and positivity
- Everything has changed, or is available in a new blend at this time of the COVID 19 pandemic, today's session highlighted the importance of gratitude and taken thoughts and vibes are following
- How can we transform your relationship by practicing gratitude
- Focus on accomplishments and achievements in life and appreciate it
- Find talents, skills, and strengths in oneself and be thankful for that
- Thankful that you have nutritious food on the table, appreciate
- Pleasing for having a good physical and emotional health
- If you commute by car, not by TTC, be thankful for having a car
- Appreciate it if living with the loved one
- Thankful for having special friends in life
- If you are still alive and breathing, be grateful
- Grateful for having family, children, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins in your life
- Be grateful for having supportive neighbours
- Appreciate any hobby or activity, if you are pursuing
- Show gratitude for celebrations in life, for instance, birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, and achievements
- Be grateful for having facilities at home, for instance, the internet, electricity, types of machinery, and luxuries
- Be thankful that senses are usable and functional, for instance, eyes, nose, ears, touch and taste
- Strategies discussed during the session for practicing gratitude are following
- Gratitude ritual
- Gratitude journaling
- Gratitude pray
- Gratitude note
- Gratitude affirmations and self-talk
- Gratitude is the key to healthy emotions and feelings, unlocking your amazing life and be grateful for whatever you have is the thought of the day
