Today I am grateful for attending the session regarding Happy Earth Day: My relationship with mother earth. This session was facilitated by Nawal Ateeq in collaboration with Flemingdon Community Support Services (FCSS) and The Neighbourhood Office (TNO). My relationship with mother earth was an incredible session and recognize its significance for many reasons, for instance:
- This was an outstanding session to learn from each other, highly engaging, interactive and appealing
- At this time of the COVID 19, this session was transcendent support for the community to connect with each other over the zoom while staying at home order is being imposed. This session was kind of fresh air to breathe and be alive
- Happy Earth Day was offered over the zoom, very convenient and comfortable to join, no need to drive or dress up formally. You just need to check internet connectivity
- While joining this session, the community sense the feeling of connectivity and belongingness
- The taken thoughts and inspirations from today's session were:
- What is the true meaning of the relationship with the mother earth
- How can we repurpose, reuse and recycle clothes to save our earth
- Reuse of empty containers of detergent, oil and spices
- How to reuse leftover food instead of through it in the garbage
- How can we grow herbs at home, learn strategies from each other
- How can we reuse papers, approaches to save the earth
- Repurpose and reuse glass containers because it is profoundly damaging to the earth
- Today's session was thought-provoking, insightful and unfold the multiple layers of the nature of mother earth
- This is my journey and inspiration from today's session, find sessions that interest you is the thought of the day
