Family Day

Today I am grateful for my family, given the fact that my existence and identity belong to them. Family is the fundamental piece of any society. Today, here in Canada, family day is being celebrated and a family holiday is announced for spending quality time with family members. At this time of the COVID 19 while staying at home and following a two-meter social distance outdoor, the family is really a blessing for many reasons, for instance:

• The family gives us a sense of belongingness and relatedness

• Family is the source of comfort, warmth and wellbeing

• Family is the safest mode of sharing your sorrows and caring for each other

• The family live together, eat together, enjoy and phase everything together

• A family gives you an identity, name, status and introduce you to the society

• So always respect and care for your family is the suggestion of the day

Every day is family day, given the fact that the culture I belong to or relate to myself, NO designated day for the family, actually every day is the family day. Somehow, here in Canada, this family day reminds us of the significance of a family in our life
