Beet Root

Today I am grateful for and appreciate the significance of the super vegetables called "Beetroot". This is a root vegetable, brown outside and dark red inside (I use this version). Beetroot is a superfood with a variety of health benefits. I recognize and comprehend its importance for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • Beetroot is packed and loaded with a variety of nutrients such as folate, potassium, iron, manganese, vitamin C and fibre. All these nutrients and vitamins have exceeded health benefits
  • Beetroot appears in a variety of modes such as garden beet, red beet, table beet and just beet. It comes in various colours, for instance, red, yellow, white, pink and dark purple. It is a bit sweet in taste but may affect your throat if eaten raw
  • Personally, I do consume beetroot smoothies in my breakfast. This smoothie is water-based. I use apple, carrot, beetroot, grapes and one leaf of kale, add water and grind well until its texture become smooth
  • There are a variety of products of beetroot prepared and available commercially such as juice, jam, jelly marmalade, pickle, smoothie, fries, nectar, syrup, drinks, cake, cookies, biscuits, muffins, bread, pizza crust, bun, roti, flatbread, noodles, pasta, macaroni, sauces, bhujia, curry, salad, with meat or chicken and you may use your imagination
  • Beetroot can be used raw/fresh, roasted, steamed, grilled, BBQ, fried, baked, sauteed, stuffed, deep-fried, stir-fried, toasted or whatever you want
  • Beetroot has incredible health benefits such as it is linked to lower blood pressure, enhance athletic performance, enhance digestive health, boosting brain activities, fight with inflammation, good for skin and a kind of natural energy booster
  • This is my journey with beetroot and I do consume daily in the form of a smoothie. Try to incorporate beetroot in your daily meal in any form is the thought of the day
