Spirituality and Recovery

Today, I am grateful for and appreciate the significance of the webinar named "Spirituality and Recovery" offered by EHN Canada. The webinar was hosted by Jeremy and facilitated by Colette Currin. The objectives of today's webinar were to explore the connection between spirituality and recovery, meanings of spirituality as it is varied from person to person and spirituality as another way of recovery with a specialized treatment plan. I recognize and comprehend the importance of today's webinar for a variety of reasons, for instance:

  • EHN Canada has been presenting a series of webinars in addiction, mental health and well-being. These webinars are promoting and spreading awareness and knowledge and helping professionals to identify issues and connect the clients with related services
  • These webinars are a huge support at this time of the COVID 19. Being a professional, my knowledge expanded regarding mental health and addiction and that further heightened my insight
  • Today's webinar was facilitated by Colette Currin. She is a Counsellor and National Director of Business Development for Military, Veterans, and First Responders, EHN Canada
  • Today's insight and learning philosophy from the webinar is:
  • What is the difference between religion and spirituality
  • Understand the predicament (problem-solution)
  • Free the mind - How?
  • The mistreated mind
  • Self-compassion might connect with mindfulness, kindness and connectedness
  • Substance-related and addictive disorders - DSM 5
  • Diagnosis of the problem: lack of power
  • The prescription of the solution: self-regulation
  • The decision to surrender to that power
  • What is blocking spirit? Removing the barriers
  • Colette Currin discussed barriers in detail
  • Suggestions to stay unblocked - steps were discussed
  • So...Therapeutic modalities or spiritual wisdom?
  • In the end, the Q & A were addressed. This is my incredible learning and ongoing journey with EHN Canada. Find webinar, session or training that soothes or nurture your personal, social, spiritual or professional need is the question of the day
