Today I am grateful for and appreciate the training session titled "Time Management" offered by Malton Woman Council (MWC), coordinated by Uzma Irfan and facilitated by Shveta Pathak. This training was a part of the compulsory training series as a Resiliency Community Peer Ambassador project of Malton Women Council. I appreciate and recognize the significance of the training for a variety of reasons, for instance:
- The training session was highly engaging and captivating with a variety of activities such as storytelling, quiz, follow-up questions, reflection, questions, discussion and self-introspection. All attendees were occupied and involved. That sustained and supported the momentum of the training ON all the time
- Shveta Pathak was a Certified Personal Development Life Coach, Emotional Intelligence Coach and Certified Energy Healer, who specializes in helping people connect with their true self, realize their vision, smash their limiting beliefs to live a content and happy life
- Uzma Irfan was coordinating today's session very well such as regulating the rhythm of the session. Coordination with questions, managing attendees, instructions time to time, bridging between facilitator and attendees and mindful for the chat/reactions
- Everyone introduce before a formal presentation and the taken insight and discussion from today's session is:
- The session was commenced with a deep breath with closed eyes and focused on the frame of mind, learning approach and intention for today's session
- The motivational tale was narrated by Shveta with the peer ambassadors and it was asked to the attendees that what were his obstacles and attendees were reflected on such as
- Procrastinating
- Assumptions
- Overconfidence
- Lack of focus
- Faulty estimation of the time
- The research was shared related to the impact of NOT managing time well
- Self-digging exercise via sharing the quiz with the attendees to rate their responses on a three-point rating scale. The quiz was about managing time and after completing the quiz it was discussed such as
- Daily life goals
- It covers all areas of life such as professional, personal and social life
- Break down tasks, so easy to achieve
- Self-observation and identifies the area where you need to priorities
- That discussion was insightful and promote self-awareness at various level
- Personalities and time management
- Eisenhower's Urgent/Important Principle
- Goal setting gives us a direction to achieve something
- Broken down the task into a daily achievable goal
- Plan of action
- Realistic estimation of time
- Identifies the time wasters
- Buffer time for rewarding yourself
- Relax or me-time
- Identify high activity time
- What if an emergency appears?
- How would you manage and tackle emergencies?
- Strategies were discussed for managing time for instance
- Think about the same scenario and reflect what would be your strategy to manage time?
- Do the unpleasant task first when starting the day (eat the frog first)
- How to say NO? such as
- Let me check my schedule first
- Show your boundaries
- It gives you time to think or rethink the offer
- Today's session was marvellous and outstanding with a variety of insight, ideas and thoughtful strategies. I am really blessed to be a part of MWC in the capacity of Peer ambassador role. I acknowledge the connection and a great learning opportunity
