Made with Love

Today I am grateful for and appreciate the significance of a session "Made with Love, recycle, repurpose and upcycle" facilitated by Riffat Fatima, in collaboration with The Neighbourhood Office (TNO). I acknowledge and recognize Riffat Fatima's passion, sustainability and stimulating benefaction to the neighbourhood at this time of the COVID 19 pandemic. These sessions are magnificent lead at this time of the COVID 19 pandemic when everyone requires an appealing and captivating program or ground to connect with the community and the most crucial aspect is to share ideas. I acknowledge and appreciate this session for several reasons, for instance:

  • These sessions proffer the sense of connectivity and feelings of belongingness while social gatherings are outlawed due to COVID 19 pandemic
  • This was the safe mode to express your thoughts, feelings and emotions while respecting each other
  • Everyone is embraced, greeted, listened to, communicated at their own velocity
  • At this time of the COVID 19, while maintaining two-meter social distance and wearing a mask, these sessions are surpassing relief for the community to engage and reach via virtual mode, the most shielded and protected pitch
  • These sittings are absolutely cost-effective and free of charge at this time of the COVID 19 pandemic
  • Made with Love session was being offered via zoom, it was astonishingly convenient, offhand to join, no requirement for driving, only verified internet connectivity. I learned the following concepts:
    • Approaches to recycle garments
    • Various techniques to upcycle clothes
    • Ways to repurpose textile
  • This session was a great learning opportunity to learn from each other respectfully
  • Find your nearby community or agency to join virtual gathering is the recommendation of the day
